Thanksgiving is nearly here!

It's that time again when as a college student you realize that your semester is almost over. After Thanksgiving, you come back to campus and await the few days before finals hit. But it never fails that every student anxiously awaits Thanksgiving...even though we all know what it means.

It's the middle of November and the weather is still beautiful. It's 65 degrees and the sun is shining. I just saw a few girls laying out in front of their dorm. I know we all tell you that you can still wear shorts here during this time...we're noy lying. Fall is here though. The leaves have changed and are rustling all over campus. Emory is so beautiful in the fall!

Tonight, I have the honor of attending the Emory Board of Trustees reception. Basically, I get to meet a lot of important people in the Emory community. I'm pretty excited and I'm hoping to make a few connections that might come in hand in the near future. Internship....? Honestly, Emory does have fantastic alumni who are amazingly successful. More importantly, alums are more than happy to help out their fellow Emory students.

Tomorrow night, I'm attending a Greek Philanthropy event. The event is called Greek Physique and is basically an all male beauty pageant. The idea of all male makes it that more entertaining. Every fraternity selects a representative from their respective organization whoe competes with all of the other representatives from all of the fraternities. The competition includes a talent, formal wear, question/answer, etc. All of the proceeds go the Kappa Alpha Theta's national philanthropy, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). The best part is that there is no limit to what males will do to win a competition.

On Saturday, the Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life is putting on Novemberfest. Novemberfest is like a trial-run on sorority recruitment. It gives Prospective Members an idea of what the recruitment process is really like. Also, Novemberfest enables you to meet so many girls in the Emory community!

Well I am off for now...I have to go get ready for that Trustee Reception... Enjoy Thanksgiving!
